A remote take-home exam is a written online examination subject to the following conditions:
The time frame is limited, but you do not have to complete it at a particular time or in a particular place
It is usually made up of complex tasks with several possible individual solutions
It has to be handed in or uploaded by or before the end of the specified time frame
Exam durationFür Details bitte aufklappen
When taking a remote take-home exam, you can schedule the estimated exam time flexibly within a given time frame (usually anywhere from 6-48 hours for a 2-hour exam). This means you have more time than you are expected to need to complete the exam.
For example, you may be given a 6-hour time slot to take an exam which should take approximately 2 hours to complete.
Make sure to hand in | upload | save your work | answers in time before expiration of the deadline and that you don’t overlook any of the required components!
Otherwise activities may be marked as “not completed.”
Once you have handed in your work, you will no longer be able to make any further changes to it.

Examination statement (if required)
An examination statement may be required for take-home exams, here is an example. Confirming the examination statement is the equivalent of accepting the exam papers in a classroom setting. Once you have done so, the examination attempt will be counted and graded.
The examination statement for a remote take-home exam includes reiterations of important information and instructions, such as:
The requirement to work independently on the exam, unless the course instructors/examiners have explicitly allowed you to work together with fellow students
The use of WU plagiarism detection software to determine if multiple students have handed in identical blocks of text and to make sure all work adheres to academic standards (correct citation)
The consequences of cheating
