Distance Learning

What does distance learning in the 2020 summer semester mean for you?
  • Courses taught in distance-learning format are not held in classrooms on Campus WU but online.

  • Distance learning involves a lot of independent study of course materials. For example, you may have to work with annotated PowerPoint slides, Lecturecasts, or assignments that are provided to you via MyLEARN.

  • For courses originally planned to be held on campus during the 2020 summer semester, no physical attendance is required in the distance-learning format (see §2 (3) 1 of the Regulations on the Conduct of Courses and Exams During the COVID-19 Period)

In some cases, it is possible to attend classes online at the time and date originally scheduled for the respective units. In courses that include performance components originally intended for classroom teaching, the course instructors may replace these elements with alternative performance components.

On the following pages, you can find detailed information, recommendations, and tips regarding distance learning.
