Education

• 1978 – 1986: Studied English and Russian at the Institute for Translation Studies at the University of Innsbruck

• 2002 – 2004: Doctoral program in Russian linguistics at the Institute for Slavic Studies at the University of Vienna. Thesis: Identities in Migrants’ Biographies. A linguistic-cultural analysis of oral autobiographical stories told by Russian migrants in Vienna   

Employment

• July 2006 – January 2009: FWF project "Self-modeling. An empirical study of clothing habits as a mode of (self-) management in a post-Soviet urban context, based on th eexamples of Moscow and Ekaterinburg"   

• Assistant Professor since August 2009

Scientific interests

• Main research and thematic interests: post-structural cultural theory and analysis (with a focus on Russia)
