Biographical Sketch

Isabell Egger-Peitler is Teaching and Research Associate at the Institute for Public Management and Governance at WU Vienna University of Economics and Business. She holds a Master's degree in Public Management from the Carinthia University of Applied Sciences. Highly affiliated with the public sector, Isabell Egger-Peitler knows the field from both, an academic as well as a practical perspective. Especially during the last years she conducted several far-reaching reform projects. As sparring partner and trainer, she works with public top executives and decision-makers. To build bridges between research and practice is very important to her.

Research Interests

Isabell Egger-Peitler's research interests focus on public management and public governance with an emphasis on European governance, governance structures, public management reforms, performance management and HRM. Using the concept of public service motivation, her dissertation project deals with the adequate translation and adaptation of value-oriented concepts and the difficulties for international comparative research.

Public management (reform), public governance, European governance, European Union, public sector, civil servants, HRM, attractiveness of the public sector, motivation, public service ethos, performance management, governance structures, comparative research, reform drivers.
