Change selection

Step 1: Requirements

To be admitted to the Bachelor’s Program in Business, Economics and Social Sciences, you are required:

  • To successfully complete your secondary school leaving examination or first degree/bachelor’s program (a degree program with a legally required duration of at least 3 years at a recognized international postsecondary educational institution [university or university of applied sciences])

In case of national university entrance examination: official test result required (e.g.: Brazil, China, Colombia, Iran, South Korea, Turkey, Vietnam etc.)

  • To successfully complete the selection procedure for the academic year of admission to the bachelor’s program at WU

  • To present one of the accepted German certificates (at least A2)
If you can prove A2-level skills but do not yet have German language skills at level C1, you can attend German courses as part of the Vienna University Preparation Programme.

Supplementary Examinations

If your secondary school leaving certificate differs significantly from an Austrian secondary school leaving certificate (will be checked when processing your application for admission), you need to pass certain supplementary examinations as part of the Vienna University Preparation Programme (VWU), before you will be admitted to the bachelor’s programs at WU. While you attend the VWU, you will be admitted to a non-degree program at WU.

In case you have already studied at a university, please submit an official transcript of records. Successfully completed courses may be taken into account to reduce the number of supplementary examinations required.
