Coach Training Plattform

As a result of demographic change, dementia is becoming a growing challenge for our society. This is accompanied by a strong demand for services that are designed to meet the needs of people with dementia. Examples are target group-specific diagnoses, treatments and therapies or care facilities specialised in the care of people with dementia. However, some regions in the Danube Region are not optimally prepared for this challenge and show significant deficiencies in the provision of dementia-specific services.

The COACH Training Platform was developed as a contribution to improving dementia care in the countries of the Danube Region. The specific objective of the platform is to promote social innovation and entrepreneurial activities in this field.  It is aimed both at professionals working in dementia care who want to solve an unmet need in their own region, and at social entrepreneurs who want to offer products or services in the field of dementia.

The training platform consists of two sections:

Business plan development

Good-Practice-Beispiele

The COACH Training Platform is available in English, Bulgarian, Romanian, Slovak and Slovenian. You can access the different language versions here:

The contents of COACH were developed from 2018 to 2021 within the framework of the INDEED (INnovation for DEmence in thE Danube Region) project, which is an initiative of 20 partners from 10 Danube countries. The project was co-funded by the European Union under the INTERREG Danube Transnational Programme. The overall project goal is to contribute to the improvement of dementia care in the countries of the Danube Region and to the implementation of national dementia plans in order to improve the quality of life of people with dementia and their family carers.

To achieve these goals, the interactive online platform www.indeed-project.eu was developed with the three modules CAMPUS (know-how about dementia), CONNECT (interprofessional cooperation in the field of dementia) and COACH (innovation in the field of dementia). Besides the main English version, the INDEED learning platform is also available in Bulgarian, Romanian, Slovakian and Slovenian.

During the INDEED project, the NPO Competence Center was instrumental in developing the content of the COACH Training Platform presented here. To access all the learning content developed in the project, including the CAMPUS and CONNECT modules , please visit the following INDEED websites:
