Lecture "The Financing of Care for the Elderly in Austria and its Social Implications"

As part of the MedUni Vienna seminar series "Ethics in Medicine and Spiritual Care - Corona, Medicine and Society - Communality in Times of Distancing", Christian Grünhaus gave a lecture at the third unit of the seminar series entitled "Corona and Covid-19: The Situation of the Elderly and Frail" on 17.12.2020. The lecture was entitled "The Financing of Elderly Care in Austria and its Societal Impact, Not Only in Covid19 Times". Due to the current situation with the Covid-19 pandemic, this event of course took place online.

The conclusion of the lecture: Covid-19 is not the primary challenge, but the expansion of care and support with a simultaneous increase in positive societal impacts and avoidance of negative impacts as far as possible. Purely national thinking should be replaced by European, transnational thinking.

The recording of the event is freely accessible via YouTube.
