How the pandemic changes Europe – NGO Academy Keynote with Ivan Krastev

08/02/2021

What are the consequences of the pandemic that will set the course of the world in the coming years? Paradoxes that COVID-19 has brought to light regarding globalization include international cooperation, authoritarianism, social cohesion and the European project. Moreover, the pandemic has defined every aspect of our private and professional lives in 2020 and the beginning of 2021. Instead of fixating on yet another day’s infection rate, this talk with Ivan Krastev will attempt to establish a bird’s eye view on the effects of the pandemic and ask the long-term question: where is Europe, and in particular Central and Eastern Europe, heading in the years to come? The NGO Academy Keynote will take place on 2 March 2021, 2pm.
