IMPORTANT NOTE: If you only need to borrow books from the Central Library, please use our services for borrowing books. In this case, you do not have to reserve a study place.
Information about reserving a seat
Please note that you can only enter the library if you have reserved a time slot in the online calendar (see below), with no exceptions.
Who can reserve a seat?
Only WU students and registered external library patrons may reserve a seat.
Which rules apply for reserving a seat?
You may have up to 3 active reservations. If you already have 3 reservations active, no new reservation can be made until another expires or is cancelled.
Seats may be booked up to 7 days in advance.
To make your reservation, please log in with your WU account or your library account, select your time slot and seat category, and confirm the reservation.
You will receive a confirmation email when you make a reservation. Please keep this confirmation and your WU student ID or your library card ready. It is not necessary to print this confirmation. You can present it in digital form.
If a library user shows signs of being unwell, library staff may deny this person access to the study areas.
The University Library reserves the right to cancel reservations. In the event that your reservation is cancelled, we will notify you by email.
If you cannot keep your appointment, please cancel your reservation.
Which seat categories are available?
You can reserve a reading place or a computer workstation on a specific level in the Central Library.
Which time slots can be booked?
The wearing of mouth and nose protectors (FFP2) is mandatory in WU buildings and until reaching the study place in the libraries. Please keep a safe distance of 1 meter from other people.
One of the following proofs must be presented to enter and remain in WU buildings.
To make your visit to the WU Library as safe as possible, we will be closing the libraries for disinfection and ventilation over lunchtime.
