WU Library & Sustainability | Bring your own bottle

13/12/2022

Drinking fountains, a bottle-filling station and glass return boxes - all these help to avoid waste in the WU Library.

In the Austrian Food Pyramid, the Federal Ministry of Social Affairs, Health, Care and Consumer Protection recommends a daily intake of at least 1.5 liters of non-alcoholic, low-energy beverages such as water, mineral water, unsweetened fruit or herbal teas, or diluted fruit and vegetable juices. As it is much harder to study when you are thirsty, it is allowed to bring your own beverage bottles to the university library.

Drinking water is available at one of the drinking fountains on levels 3, 4, and 5 in the Central Library, and in the Library for Law. There is also a bottle filling station on level 4 in the Central Library. Here, you can refill your drinking bottles.

You can also deposit empty glass bottles in the return boxes distributed throughout the floors in the Central Library and the Library for Law.
