New electronic resource: Cabell's Blacklist

In order to assist researchers, students and science administrators in identifying journals that use dubious or fraudulent publishing practices, the WU library has now licensed Cabell's Blacklist.

More than 60 criteria are used to determine the level of scientific quality of journals and publishers. In case they are found to use improper publication practices, they are added to the continuously updated blacklist.

The WU Library is one of currently five institutions in the German-speaking countries that offer access to Cabell's Blacklist.

On the WU University Library’s databases page, you can also access many other reference works and databases.
