Fit4Research - the WU Library’s eLearning program - goes international

01/09/2016

It’s finally here: The English-language version of the WU Library’s eLearning program.

Attending a new university and navigating a new library can be a major challenge, especially for international students. This is why we have put together a comprehensive catalog of information and support on searching for documents, researching a topic, using search tools (e.g. the library catalog and Google Scholar), finding your way around the Central Library, and managing references with programs like EndNote Web, Citavi, and Zotero.

With this addition, now all the library’s informational materials and services (website, printed materials, eLearning, individual consulting, and research workshops) are available in both German and English.

Fit4Research is publically accessible via Learn@WU, no login required. The materials are also usable under a CC BY 4.0 license, meaning that teachers can use the contents in their classes and adapt them as required for their teaching needs. Teachers can also link directly to individual pages or the Fit4Research homepage. All contents are optimized for use on mobile devices.

With its information on literature research and reference management, Fit4Research is a valuable addition to the academic writing and research section of the Learn@WU Student Support Area (Study Information team) and also helps high school students working on their first pre-academic theses with their first literature research steps. Fit4Research provides teachers with useful information to use in their teaching.
