Scanner reservation WU students

Availability of the D3 print collection for WU students as of May 6, 2020

As of May 6, 2020 3 color scanners are available to WU students in the Library for Law (D3). Please note that you can only use the scanners if you have reserved a time slot in the online calendar, with no exceptions.

When are the scanners available for use?

  • Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 1:00pm to 5:00pm

  • Wednesdays from 9:00am to 1:00pm


Who can reserve scanner time slots?

Only WU students may reserve and use the scanners during the service hours indicated above. To make a reservation, you have to log in with your WU account login data.

Which rules apply for reserving scanner time?

  • You can reserve a 1-hour time slot at a time. The total maximum reservation period is 2 hours per day and person, regardless of how many different scanners you use.

  • You can reserve time slots no earlier than 14 days in advance.

  • To make your reservation, please log in with your WU account data, select your time slot, and confirm the reservation.

  • A confirmation email will be sent to your WU email account. You will only be admitted to the Library for Law (D3) if you present this confirmation email, either in electronic format or as a printed hard copy.

  • The University Library reserves the right to cancel reservations. In the event that your reservation is cancelled, we will notify you by email to your WU email address.

  • If you are unable to use the scanners during the time slot you have reserved, please cancel your reservation.


Terms of use

  • The COVID-19 hygiene and safety requirements must be observed in the waiting area in front of the library and in the library. Security staff on site will monitor compliance with these regulations and carry out access control at the library entrance.

  • Keep a minimum distance of 2 meters to other people.

  • Please bring your own face mask. You will only be admitted to the library if you wear a face mask covering your nose and mouth.

  • Upon entering the library, clean your hands in accordance with the applicable hygiene requirements. We recommend wearing disposable gloves, but this is not mandatory.

  • Library users take the books and journals they need from the shelves themselves and deposit them on the book trolleys provided in the library after they are done scanning.
