Josef Mugler is professor emeritus. Until Oct 2010 he was head of the Institute for Small Business Management and Entrepreneurship at the WU Vienna University of Economics and Business.
He is the founding president of the ECSB (European Council of Small Business and Entrepreneurship), co-initiator of the European Doctoral Programme in Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management, and member of the Founding Board of the FGF (Förderkreis Gründungsforschung e.V.).
Further, Josef Mugler is member of the board of trustees at KMU Forschung Austria (SME research) and has served as an editor for several international journals.
Josef Mugler recently published his first thriller, which opens the world of economics to a broad non-academic audience.
