Josef Baumüller lives (and also quite often works) in Tulln an der Donau. He finished his studies in Finance, Accounting and Taxation in 2007 and currently spends most of his time – besides his activities at WU Vienna – on his dissertation at the University of Vienna (Prof. Dr. Otto A. Altenburger). His focus in both teaching and research lies on nonfinancial reporting, furthermore on the fields of management control and accounting by nonprofit organizations, group accounting and financial statement analysis/business valuation. Every now and then, he also publishes one or the other paper on these fields (or related ones) and holds presentations at academic conferences as well as at practice-oriented events.

So far, he has worked (amongst others) at the University of Vienna’s Chair of Accounting (Research and Teaching Associate), Caritas Austria (Accountant and Controller), Volkshilfe Österreich (Financial Management), Windkraft Simonsfeld AG (Controller), Mensalia Management Consulting GmbH (Head of Corporate Reporting and Consulting) and Contrast EY Management Consulting / Controller Institute (Senior Manager, Senior Advisor). His teaching experience covers courses at Controller Institute, FH Burgenland, FH of BFI Wien, FH St. Pölten, FHWien of WKW, Technical University Graz, University of Vienna and WU Executive Academy.
