Personal details

Vanessa Lechinger is a research assistant (prae-doc) at INEQ. Her dissertation focuses on income inequality and redistribution. In the context of her research, the dimension of gender plays a central role. In addition to the topics of effects from structural changes due to the climate crisis, digitalized labour market, her expertise lies in the microsimulation of the Austrian taxation system, especially the wage tax system. In addition to her PhD studies, Vanessa studies political science at the University of Vienna, as she is strongly interested in the link between economics and politics.
