Students who are currently in the SBWL Strategy and Data will have time until the end of Winter Term 2022/23 to complete the SBWL.

How is the new SBWL Decision Sciences structured?

3 mandatory courses: Game theory I (Course I), Psychology I (Course II), Empirical Data Analysis (Course III)

3 courses from which 2 have to be chosen: Game theory II (Course IV or V), Psychology II (Course IV or V), Project/Advanced Course (Course V)

(We expect students will typically choose either Game theory II+Project/Advanced or Psychology II+Project/Advanced.)

What are possible course combinations?

  • If you plan to take the Project Course (always course V) you must complete Course I, Course II AND Course III first, then as course IV you can choose between Game Theory II and Psychology II

  • If you plan to not take the Project Course, you can choose to Game Theory II as your Course IV and Psychology II as Course V OR the other way around

    • Please note before you can enroll in Course V, you have to complete Course I, Course II AND Course III

    • Therefore it is not possible to both take Game Theory I and Game Theory II AND Psychology I and Psychology II in the same semester without also taking Empirical Data Analysis
