Stephan-Koren-Preis 2017

The Stephan Koren Prize hon­ors the best dis­ser­ta­tion in a year.

The Prize is awar­ded by the As­so­ci­ation of WU Pro­fess­ors to a Ph.D. stu­dent who, through their dis­ser­ta­tion and throughout their course of study, has con­trib­uted to the scien­ti­fic growth and repu­ta­tion of the uni­versity in their re­spect­ive sub­ject area.

Two scient­ists from our de­part­ment will be honored with this year's Stephan Koren Prize:

  • Florian Na­gler
    "Rolling over Cor­por­ate Bonds: How Mar­ket Li­quid­ity af­fects Credit Risk", "Dealer In­vent­ory and the Cross-Sec­tion of Cor­por­ate Bond Re­turns", "The De­termin­ants of Re­cov­ery Rates in the US Cor­por­ate Bond Mar­ket"

  • Stephanie Nov­osel
    „Steuerop­ti­male Rechts­form­wahl bei op­er­at­iven Tätigkeiten deutscher Per­son­engesell­schaften in Öster­reich. Eine um­fassende Ana­lyse steuer­licher Wirkun­gen in Abhängigkeit der Rechts­form.“


The ce­re­mony will take place on 15 Decem­ber, 11:00 am as a part of an aca­demic ce­re­mony(Pro­mo­tion) at WU, Lib­rary & Learn­ing Center, Fest­saal 1.
