Coffee Street - Making getting your coffee-to-go the easiest task of the day.
Wintersemester 2020 - Start-up project
We - Coffee Street - are a team of five E&I students and we all love coffee. It all started when we felt like getting a good-quality coffee-to-go can be struggle. Grocery stores mostly do not sell hot or good-quality coffee-to-go, while in coffee shops you have to wait in long lines in peak hours. Thus, after multiple rounds of hypothesis testing, we are working on a prototype of the app that helps to simplify this whole process.
The ultimately highest goal and also our vision is, as mentioned above, to make getting your coffee-to-go the easiest task of every day. Our goal is to help you find a new coffee shop where you do not have to risk a bad coffee quality. Our goal is to have your coffee prepared when you enter a coffee shop already. Our goal is to get rid of all the paper loyalty cards in your wallet. And everything else that simplifies the process even more.
From the very first moment we have been using the Lean Start-up method – this means running multiple idea/feature testing rounds with potential customers and experts – which resulted in pivoting of our original idea several times. This hypothesis testings were so far concluded on basis of qualitative and quantitative interviews.
Furthermore, to validate, measure and specify our product, we have used multiple tools. These include for example customer profiles, market size estimation, financial plan, strategic analysis etc.
After several rounds of testing, some more and some less successful hypotheses, and many Teams-calls, we are happy to be developing and improving our app prototype. Our app follows you through the whole process from finding a coffee shop to the first sip of your warm (or cold) coffee. This includes search of coffee shop on the map, looking at menu, pre-ordering your drink, picking it up, getting points for your loyalty program and leaving a review for the coffee shop. This all in a nicely designed and easy-to-operate smartphone app.
