Hybrid program of Master Class 2020/21

The Master Class CEE 2020-21: A great learning journey in a hybrid format

The new Master Class CEE 2020-21 will be run in a hybrid format. We plan to mix face-to-face with virtual sessions. Based on our experiences in the summer term, we have carefully gone through the program to adapt it to the new Covid-19 induced circumstances. We talked to our international lecturers, corporate partners and students of the MC 2019/20 to learn from them. We can guarantee that irrespective of the format you will gain substantial insights into doing business in CEE – from a historical, cultural, economics and business perspective - that prepares you for a management position in CEE. Guest speakers and company visits in Vienna and abroad will make sure that the view of the business practice is considered in our discussions. Erste Group, Henkel, Mondi Group and VIG have already confirmed their participation as corporate partners.

With the topic of our two-semester project seminar on “Impact of Covid-19 pandemic on economies and businesses in CEE” we address current developments and issues that are on top of the management agenda.

We intend to run the field trips in February and April/May to CEE cities when the conditions allow it. The same applies to the company visits to the corporate partners in the summer term 2021. The courses in the winter term “Newer History of CEE” by Viktor Pál, University of Helsinki, Finland, and “Intercultural Compentence for CEE” by Daniel Dauber, University of Warwick, UK, will be in a virtual format. The two-semester “Project seminar on Management in CEE” by Arnold Schuh will be run in a mixed format.
