Our teaching focuses on three key areas:
communicative competence (in text production & reception, negotiating, presenting, etc.),
competence in Language for Specific Purposes, including the terminology of selected fields in economics and management,
intercultural competence, i.e. the ability to interact successfully in English-speaking environments.
In all our courses, we combine content-based teaching with a recognition of the pivotal role that discursive and intercultural elements play in business. In doing so, we aim to enable our students to develop their own language awareness and thus become independent and lifelong language learners. Our state-of-the-art multimedia language resource center is instrumental in enhancing these skills.
