How to write a thesis

Check out the currently available thesis topics. Please read the guidelines carefully and use the institute template for writing your thesis. Detailed information on the milestones is listed on the end of the page.

Milestones

Inquiry about topic
Please send an email to the supervisor of the selected topic and cc deco-office@wu.ac.at. Include all required information.

Application
Submit your research proposal to the supervisor and deco-office@wu.ac.at using this template. Include all below mentioned supplementary material.

Acceptance of thesis supervision
After submitting your research proposal, you will be invited to a consultation with the supervisor. If your proposal is accepted, your thesis will be submitted to "WU supervision database".

Regulatory progress reports
Please send monthly email updates on your progress to your supervisor. Arrange consultations as needed.

Submit your thesis
Maximum duration for your thesis is 6 months, counting from the date your thesis was submitted to the "WU supervision database". Please submit your thesis via plagiarism check on the learn system.

Thesis grading
You will find your grade in the LPIS system within 4 weeks (BA) and 8 weeks (MA) after the plagiarism check.
