genetic algorithms. This text is meant as a first collection of topics
for discussion. Please direct your ideas and comments to
Johann.Mitloehner@wu-wien.ac.at.
- Should there be
- an organisation? If Yes, what type? Is the name acceptable?
- just a mailing list
- a news group
- other forms?
- Communication via email/mailing list, or other?
- Should we have regular meetings? If Yes, how many? One per month?
Four per year?
- Occasional workshops and miniconferences on special topics:
suggestions?
- Publications:
- Should we try to agree on a common format? LaTeX, MS Word, ...?
- Should we try to establish special support for cooperative work,
e.g. via wwwboard, Lotus Notes, ...?
- Is electronic publication acceptable,
without any hard copies?
- Which form of quality control: refereed/unrefereed?
- For unrefereed work in progress, this means
getting text out to others for comments quickly and easily.
- Access can be limited to registered users.
- Should there be a more conventional form of publication?
Series of Working Papers, Technical Reports, ...?
- Topics for research:
- Economics
- Game theory
- Biology
- ...?
- Is there interest for a topic on
interactive games with student participation,
to gather decision data and test models?
-
Tragedy of the Commons
- IRC Internet Relay Chat: hook up robots to attract participants
in simulations, e.g political stock market
- Economics MUD
Pecunia
- ...?
- Web Server structure e.g.:
- People (participating, interested)
- Literature
- Events: seminars, workshops, corresponding handouts/literature
- Publications
- Simulations and games
These pages are still under construction.
Any hints & comments very much appreciated.
