Pre-planned course schedules or "Tracks" (Schienen in German) are available to help you structure the introductory phase of your studies.
These schedules make sure that none of your
courses or examinations take place simultaneously, while providing you with
plenty of time for independent study as well as breaks and recreation.
Ideally you will have completed all courses and examinations included in a particular track by the end of the semester. Tracks are scheduled to include all required courses and exams for the introductory phase within two semesters.
Courses in the introductory phase are offered either as half-term, full-term or block courses.
Half-term courses are held twice a week. Since they do not take a whole semester to complete, half-term courses
end at mid-term (after the first half of the semester) or
begin at mid-term and run until the end of the semester (second half-term course)
Full-term courses are usually held only once a week for the entire semester. The following courses are held as full-term courses in the introductory phase:
Accounting & Management Control I
Accounting & Management Control II
Foreign Language Business Communication I
Block courses
The course Introduction to Business Law is available only to students in the Business Law Bachelor's program and is held as a block course.
Introduction to Business Administration is also held in block form.
Evening classes
Almost all of the courses included in the Tracks are also available as evening classes.
Registration
Courses can be registered for online during the Track registration period (Freien Schienenanmeldung) under the course information system: Lehrveranstaltungs- und Prüfungsinformationssystem (LPIS).
