Learn@WU is WU’s learning
and communication site for students and faculty. At Learn@WU students have one single access point to
relevant information about their courses as well as a wide selection of
teaching materials and communication tools. With the help of Learn@WU, faculty
staff can easily provide and administer teaching material and relevant
information. Learn@WU also offers personalized functions like a personal
file-storage, individual statistical information about the learning progress
and an individualized calendar.
The Learn@WU team, which is
responsible for the platform and the first point of contact for
eLearning/eTeaching, is made up of members from the fields of service, computer
technology and eLearning consultants:
The eLearning Services office, a division of the Vice-Rectorate of Academic Programs and Student Affairs, is responsible for eLearning and the strategic further development of eLearning programs. It serves as a first point of contact for teachers and students. The eLearning-Services office's responsibilities include:
The Learn@WU technicians are a team of IT systems managers, led by Gustaf Neumann. They are responsible for the maintenance and improvement of the platform and for programming new applications.
eLearning consultants can be eDevelopers, eLearning assistants or eTutors. They develop eLearning materials and new eLearning scenarios, participate actively in the further development and quality management of the Learn@WU platform and provide student support.
