University Management


Pursuant to Austrian law, the university's management consists of four bodies:


The university board is a supervisory board with five members.
 


The Rector's Council is the main executive body at WU, leading the institution. It consists of five members, i.e. the Rector and four Vice-Rectors.
 


The Rector coordinates the Rector's Council and is its spokesman.
 


The Senate is the major institution of shared governance at WU. Four groups are represented in the Senate: full professors, junior faculty, students and administrative personnel.
