WU top in Austria's FORMAT Uni-Ranking

In the most recent FORMAT Uni-Ranking (June 2011), WU’s degree program in Taxation & Accounting took first place, and three other WU-programs ranked among the top 5. These results make it clear that WU sets the standard for business education in Austria.

The ranking is based on a survey of over 120 human resource managers from all over Austria, on the overall quality of Austrian universities and universities of applied sciences (Fachhochschulen), and on graduates’ chances of success when starting their careers.

WU among the best Economics faculties in the German-speaking world

WU was ranked # 14 (6 ranks up from last year) among universities in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland by German newspaper Handelsblatt in its annual Economics ranking in September 2011. Six WU-economists were listed in the "Top 250  life-time achivement"-category: Harald Badinger, Ulrich Berger, Jesus Crespo Cuaresma, Manfred Fischer, Klaus Gugler and Christoph Weiss.
