Mission statement

Dear students,

Thank you for your interest in the courses available at our Institute, and your interest in one (or maybe even more!) of the Romance languages. 

We are part of the Department of Foreign Language Business Communication, and endorse the Department’s mission statement in teaching and research, but our emphasis on Romance (business) languages and their specific cultures also gives us our own, individual identity.

In spite of the undeniable importance of the English language, we feel that having knowledge of additional foreign languages and learning comprehensive intercultural skills are imperative, both with regard to business languages and in a more general business-cultural sense.

We hope, then, not only to prepare you for future intercultural challenges in your professional life, but also to provide you with enjoyable experiences getting to know the languages and cultures of the Romanic world.
