Vienna’s geographical position in the heart of Europe makes it a multicultural city and an important location for international companies and organizations. Thanks to its wide range of cultural attractions, excellent infrastructure, a low crime rate and a clean environment, Vienna has recently been recognized as the top city in terms of quality of living.

It is a city full of history - the nostalgic charm of its downtown area is complemented by all the vitality of a modern metropolis. Along with monuments from past centuries and traditional Viennese cafés, visitors are offered modern architecture and spacious shopping areas. Numerous museums, theaters and the Vienna State Opera will appeal to culture enthusiasts. Many important names and associations in the history of science and medicine have their origins in Vienna, like Freud, Wittgenstein, the Vienna Circle and the Austrian School of Economics, to name just a few. Studying at WU

With about 26,800 students from Austria and abroad, WU (Vienna University of Economics and Business) is the EU’s largest educational institution for business and economics, business law, and social sciences.

WU is located just a few subway stations away from Vienna’s downtown and many popular recreational areas and is easily accessible by public transport.
