Information for Schools

"WU@School" is an initiative designed to increase contact between the university and prospective students, primarily pupils in their last two years at secondary school. Our goal is to help pupils make career choices by providing detailed information about our range of courses and degree programs early on.

We want our students to make an informed decision to enroll at WU, since studying at one of the best German-language universities in business and economics, business law and the social sciences is rigorous and demands a great deal of self-motivation, determination and a willingness to learn.

WU tour – An invitation to get “up close and personal”

Secondary school classes can make an appointment to visit WU and get to know the university first-hand. We provide information about our courses and degree programs and offer pupils a chance to tour the campus and university library. Individual requests are welcome and tours can be custom-tailored to suit your needs. Contact and additional information

WU ambassadors

University students from the higher semesters come to visit your classroom to introduce pupils to WU and its degree programs, talk about their personal impressions and experiences at the university and answer any questions pupils might have. WU students will also be more than happy to participate in exhibitions or career days at your school.

Inside! – The WU Newsletter for prospective students

The WU Newsletter for prospective students is published regularly and provides information about WU, admission deadlines and degree programs. Click here to subscribe to the newsletter (in German). It will automatically be sent to your email address.

Pupils at university

WU is a partner in the “Pupils at university” initiative of the Austrian Research and Support Center for the Gifted and Talented (özbf). This program gives gifted and highly motivated students the opportunity to attend courses at WU without having to pay the Student Union fee.
