Admission for International Students
The information in this section is relevant for all applicants who have obtained a secondary school leaving certificate or academic degree in a country other than Austria and are now seeking admission to WU Vienna University of Economics and Business .
To be admitted as a student to WU, you must fulfill the admission requirements laid down in the Universities Act 2002 (Universitätsgesetz 2002) as amended. In this section, you will find information on the requirements and necessary documents for the individual programs.
You will also find admission information for concurrent enrollment (Mitbelegung) or for MBA/LLM Programs and Certificate Programs.
Legalization and translation of documents
Documents issued outside of Austria must be legalized in accordance with existing regulations for recognition in Austria.
If a document was not originally issued in German or English, you must additionally submit a German or English translation. For translations, certain regulations apply as well.

Language of instruction
WU offers Bachelor's, Master's and Doctoral programs taught in German, as well as some Master's and PhD programs taught in English.
Information on language of instruction and proof of language skills
Tuition fees are the same for Bachelor's, Master's, Doctoral and PhD programs, however, they depend on your nationality and on reasons for a waiver of tuition fees as passed by the Austrian government.
Tuition fees must be paid in a single installment before the end of the enrollment period for each semester. Books and class materials are not included in the tuition fees.
Recognition of examinations
You may apply for recognition of examinations if you completed examinations at an accredited institution of education (e.g. university) and if these are equivalent in level and content with examinations in your degree program at WU.

For specific questions and problems regarding the admission process, Mag. Herbert Angermeyer is available during his office hours in the Admissions Office (Study Service Center, Building LC, 2nd Upper Level). Please note that there are no office hours during holidays.
