Content and Structure

First semester

Second semester

The Master in International Management/CEMS starts with an intensive one-week block seminar. This kick-off seminar is followed by a number of compulsory core courses (foundations) intended to provide students with basic skills in international management. In addition to these courses, students may choose from a wide range of electives.

In the second semester, the focus lies on strengthening the students’ theoretical foundations and on gaining international experience. Half of the students will spend this semester at one of the CEMS partner universities. A business project for an internationally operating company will be conducted, and students will gain working experience abroad in an internship during the summer break.

Third semester

Fourth semester

The development of specialist knowledge is the main target in the third term of the Master in International Management/CEMS degree program. Students will deepen their fundamental understanding of the material by choosing electives at WU or at one of the CEMS partner universities.

Students will concentrate on and complete their Master’s thesis, focusing on international management. Of course the students’ thesis advisors are available for personal consultation throughout the writing process. Further electives can also be chosen.
