Teaching objectives
The teaching activities of the PROJEKTMANAGEMENT GROUP concentrate mainly on:
- project and programme management,
- process management,
- the management of the project-oriented company (POC),
- the management of the project-oriented society (POS) as well as
- the maturity models "project-oriented company mature" and
"project-oriented society mature".
The research programme SustPM defines the strategic orientation of the research activities of the PROJEKTMANAGEMENT GROUP until 2011. In education and research, we apply a systemic-constructive approach to understanding organizations.
Practical Relevance
The practical relevance of our education and research is guaranteed through close cooperation with project-oriented companies. Students' contacts with the business world are facilitated and promoted during the courses offered (e.g. through case studies presented in class) as well as when writing diploma theses and PhD theses. The students also have the opportunity to attend presentations held by business experts as part of the postgraduate course "International Project Management".
Internationalization
The basic course "Methods for Project Management and Programme Management" and the advanced course I "Organisational Design of Projects and Programmes" are taught entirely in English and are als open to all incoming exchange students.
Social Skills
Our work with students at all levels is interactive, team-oriented and project-based. We put great emphasis on the further development of our students´social skills.
