Mission Statement of the PROJEKTMANAGEMENT GROUP

  • Since 1994, the PMG at Vienna University of Economics and Business has offered high quality teaching and research services. Our teaching approach is interactive, team-oriented and frequently in the form of project work.
  • A wide selection of courses is available as part of the "Project Management" elective program.
  • The academic program offered by the PMG has contributed to the widespread acceptance of the job profile "Project manager", as well as to the further development of Austria as a project-oriented society.

  • The PMG´s main fields of research include

    • Project-oriented companies
    • Project-oriented societies
    • Maturity models
  • Both in teaching and research, the PMG cooperates with an international network of cooperate partners and universities. The PMG sees students as customers and is service-oriented.


Vision of the PROJEKTMANAGEMENT GROUP

  • The PMG is a worldwide leader in the development of the fields of project and programme management, process management, the management of project-oriented organizations and project-oriented societies. Our systemic-constructive research approach is internationally recognized.
  • Project management is accepted as a general management qualification in the Austrian economy. The education programme of the PMG contributes to the acceptance of the job profile "Project manager".
  • The PMG cooperates is teaching as well as in the research field with an international network of enterprises and universites. Within this network the information exchange is based on IT-supported communication.
  • Financial arrangements have been made to ensure the teaching and research activities are secured long-term.
