Computer terminals

Students have to log in in order to use the computers in the library.

This can be done in three ways:

  1. Using your library card ($J...)
  2. Using your WU-Powernet account (h...)
  3. Using your ALEPH account (M...)

You can use our electronic resources from any PC on campus, as well as the computer labs in UZA 1 and UZA 2. In addition, these resources can be accessed via wireless LAN.

WLAN

In order to use the computer labs and wireless LAN at WU, it is necessary to log in with your WU-Powernet account user name and password.

If you have problems using the wireless LAN, please contact IT Services.

Photocopying and Printing

Photocopiers are available in the reading areas, where you can also print out documents from the library computers.

You will need a CopyCard to pay for your copies and printouts. These cards can be purchased at the Facultas book shop or the Facultas vending machine, which is located near the photocopiers in the library. For support services, please contact the service company that provides these cards.

Self-service check-out

Books from the open stacks and from the text book collection can be checked out using the self-service check-out on the ground floor.

Scanner

Opposite the circulation desk there are two color scanners. You can scan material up to a size of A2 and can either save the files to a memory stick or send them via Email.

There is a Facultas copy machine in the WU main building (UZA 1) for scanning documents.

Security cables for laptop computers
The reading desks in the library are equipped with slots for laptop security cables to prevent theft. You can borrow a security cable with your library card at the circulation desk while you are working in the library.

Lockers

Lockers are available in the entrance hall of the library for use while you are working in the library. You will need a € 2 coin as a deposit to activate the lock.

Microfiche reader

On the ground floor of the library you will find a microfiche reader. Pages from the microfiche reader can also be printed.
