Transport and Logistics Management has not only an interesting past but also looks forward to a challenging future.

The Institute for Transport and Logistics Management holds numerous practice-oriented events, carries out applied research and provides top-quality educational programs. Together with businesses, associations, students and policy makers we solve real-life problems, address challenging questions with a scientific approach and promote knowledge transfer.

Emphasis in Teaching

The Transport and Logistics Management program is a specialization in an area with a great demand for qualified top-level personnel. It is our goal to produce graduates with outstanding qualifications who have profound knowledge in the area of Business Administration and are able to handle fast, continuous and customer-oriented flows of materials, goods and people as well as manage the information necessary to complete these tasks. The program’s core subjects deal with the main topics relevant to the field; to extend and deepen their knowledge, students can choose further courses from the Advanced Subjects course list. The same high standards apply to all courses, including the course materials, the lectures given by practitioners, the course-related exams and regular field trips.

Emphasis in Research

The scholarly and practice-oriented research conducted by our team provides innovative solutions to transport and logistics problems. Our emphasis in research lies on:

  • logistics management
  • supply chain management
  • logistics controlling
  • e-commerce / e-logistics
  • local public transport
