Video clips

IT Services can produce short video clips with a length of approximately 3 minutes that document current events hosted by WU and associated institutions which are attractive for the media. A more detailed list of the kinds of events best suited for recording is in preparation.

The film crew provided by IT Services will record up to four hours of footage, which is then professionally prepared by the editing team. The content and technical quality is subject to approval by the event host and IT Services. IT Services makes the final video available via a video portal. The video clip can be embedded into a website. To suggest an event for recording, please contact videoclip@wu.ac.at.

Embedding YouTube oder Vimeo clips into the CMS

YouTube

On YouTube, choose the video you would like to embed. Copy the text between the two inverted commas following "src=" from the "Embed" field (for example, the link for the Open Minds video is http://www.youtube.com/v/Osjfc1Ydrts&hl=de&fs=1).

In the CMS, choose a location for the video and select "external source -> YouTube -> add external source".

You can adjust object height and width if you want to.

YouTube URL: Paste the link and finish embedding the video by selecting "add external source".

Vimeo

On Vimeo, copy the video’s ID (that part of the URL following http://www.vimeo.com/).

In the CMS, choose a location for the video and select "external source -> Vimeo -> add external source".

You can adjust object height and width if you want to.

Paste Vimeo ID and finish embedding the video by selecting "add external source".
