Videoconference

WU offers both a 20-seat videoconferencing classroom (CampusLab) and a 6-seat videoconferencing boardroom (Room D2.30) in UZA 1. The classroom easily facilitates a guest lecturer from another city who can enjoy full two-way video and audio communication; it also enables a WU’s class to join another class taking place in a similarly equipped facility anywhere in the world.

The boardroom is meant to provide high-end-videoconferencing for collaborating in one-on-one meetings and general working sessions.

  • WU’s faculty students and staff and international exchange students

  • The CampusLab is located in the first basement, UZA 1, section B
  • Technique: Polycom HDX 9004 videoconferencing system which allows connectivity via IP
  • It is also capable of connecting to those desktop VC systems which use the H.323 standard
  • Max. 20 participants

Room booking

An IT-Services technician will assist to operate both facilities, so users need not have any specialized knowledge of the equipment.

Important: Please contact IT-Services in advance, it is necessary to do a testing session before the videoconference takes place.
