The name is an acronym derived from the German for "Young Central and European Students as Successful Future Managers" and is a WU study program in CEE Management.
It is aimed at WU students who want to expand their knowledge of Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) as a market (JOSZEF Outgoing Program) and students from Central and Eastern European countries who would like to acquire practical additional qualifications during a year abroad at WU (JOSZEF Incoming Program).

The JOSZEF Program for incoming and outgoing students aims at providing participants with profound CEE expertise. This includes management skills as well as intercultural skills or background knowledge of the more recent history of Central and Eastern Europe.
JOSZEF Program participants study in an intercultural group and become members of the JOSZEF network. During courses, company visits, excursions and the legendary JOSZEF party, students have a wide array of opportunities to interact with others from different Central, Eastern and Southern European countries along with WU JOSZEF corporate partners.
JOSZEF works closely with firms active in Central and Eastern Europe. The program has an excellent reputation among Vienna's regional players. The East-West Project seminar is always held in collaboration with a partner company. Students enjoy regular on-site visits to our corporate partners. An internship with a CEE focus is a central part of the JOSZEF program.
