Position at IIB, other positions and academic career

Susanne Scherer is a Research Associate at the Institute for International Business in Vienna.

After her 13-months stay as an AuPair in the United States she started her studies of Business Administration at the Julius-Maximilians-University in Würzburg. For the sake of specialized studies during her advanced study period Susanne switched to the Friedrich-Alexander-University in Erlangen/Nürnberg and attended courses in the areas of international management, marketing and industrial management. Furthermore, she spent two semesters abroad at the University of Extremadura/Badajoz in Spain.

To intensify her studies, Susanne worked among others in the BMW AG, in the Siemens AG as well as in the Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG. During these employments as an intern and student trainee, she has acquired comprehensive practical experiences in the areas of marketing and international sales. Susanne gained additional international experiences through her participation in the National Model United Nations, which took place at the headquartes of the United Nations Organization in New York.

Research Interest

Her research focus currently lies within the field of international network management.
