Verena is a research and teaching associate at the Institute of International Business. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Business and a Master’s degree in Business Studies with the majors sustainability and strategy, international marketing and international strategic management from the Universiteit van Amsterdam. Her studies also brought her to the University of Mannheim and the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. Verena gained professional experience working, among others, for the marketing and communications department and the international office at the Universiteit van Amsterdam and for the Bertelsmann Stiftung’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) department in Gütersloh (Germany).

Verena enjoys travelling (South America and Asia), arts, wining and dining.
