Andras Lengyel joined the Institute for International Business in 2011 where he holds the position of a research and teaching associate. He has studied business at WU (Austria), the University of Illinois (USA), Corvinus University of Budapest (Hungary) and Edith Cowan University (Australia). Andras has been included on the “Dean’s List” of the Faculty of Business and Law of Edith Cowan University (ECU) for outstanding academic achievements while earning his MBA.
Andras gained professional work experience in Brussels where he held the position of standardization project manager. There he was responsible for representing the interests of small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) in certain fields of European Standardization. Prior to that Andras was a research assistant at ECU in Perth at the Small and Medium Enterprise Research Centre of the School of Management where he was involved in two research projects about the learning behavior of Australian SMEs. In Vienna, Andras had worked for a few years for OMV in the field of IT.
The research interests of Andras focus on individual and organizational behavior and learning, as well as various aspects of domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions. As a PhD candidate at the Institute for International Business Andras is pursuing to expand his knowledge in these areas whilst working on his doctoral dissertation.
