Edith Ipsmiller is working as a teaching and research assistant at the Institute for International Business. She studied International Business Administration at the WU Vienna and at the Université Paris Dauphine, specializing in foreign commerce as well as financial accounting and auditing. Prior to her position at the institute, she was working in the thrilling international gaming industry. She also did various internships in other lines of business during her studies, including one at the Austrian Chamber of Commerce in Paris.
Besides research and teaching, she likes jazz dance, rock music and playing the six strings.
Edith’s research interests lie in the fields of international market selection, market entry strategies and post-entry performance measurement. Currently, she is concentrating on the application of real options theory in strategic management.
Apart from that, she focuses on challenging her dear colleague Namik’s absorptive capacity of capturing Upper Austrian dialect.
