Institute for International Economics
The Institute for International Economics (IE) has been established at March 1st 2010 and pursues research and teaching activities which are new to the program of the WU.
The head of the institute is Univ.Prof.Dr. Harald Badinger and his deputy is a.o.Univ.Prof.Dr. Gabriele Tondl. Furthermore, two research associates prae doc, a project-based colleague and a administrative assistent are assigned to the institute.
As part of the department of economics, the institute focuses in teaching and research on the fields of international economics and macroeconomics, as well as econometrics.
Moreover, there is a close cooperation with the Research Institute for European Affairs, which is concerned with issues in European Integration, thereby taking an interdisciplinary (in particular economic and jurisprudential, but also political science) approach.
