Code of Conduct
The Institute for English Business Communication seeks to maintain an environment that promotes academic achievement
and integrity. In turn, we expect our students to be honest and obey certain
rules of behavior with regard to EBC faculty, staff and fellow students:
- be friendly and courteous in
your communications;
- treat others with respect;
- adopt a diligent, honest and cooperative
approach to all aspects of academic life.
Academic
dishonesty:
Academic dishonesty is any conduct that
involves dishonesty in academic work or that enables a student to obtain an
unfair advantage in academic matters. It includes, but is not limited to:
- Cheating: intentionally using or
attempting to use unauthorized materials, assistance, information or study aids
in any academic exercise.
- Fabrication: intentional and
unauthorized falsification or invention of any information or citation in an
academic exercise.
- Plagiarism: intentionally or
knowingly representing the work, words or ideas of someone else as one’s own in
any academic exercise.
- Facilitating academic
dishonesty: intentionally or knowingly helping or attempting to help anyone to
violate any provision of this code.
