Student Platform

General guidelines

Registration for any and all of our classes is done exclusively via LPIS.

If you have registered for a course, but will not need the slot, after all, please deregister to make it available to other students.

We make every effort to provide a sufficient number of slots to all students fulfilling the requirements for the respective courses. Given the large number of students and classes we need to organize, however, we hope you understand that we cannot accommodate individual timetables or guarantee slots in particular courses.

INFO ON AVAILABILITY OF SLOTS IN OUR COURSES

We make every effort to provide a sufficient number of slots to all students fulfilling the requirements for the respective courses. Please bear in mind that we need to schedule far in excess of 100 different classes to accommodate literally thousands of students each semester (this is currently complicated further by the need to offer courses for Diplom as well as Bachelor students). You must understand that planning and administering our classes is done MANUALLY - in effect, this means that, even though in the end all students will almost certainly get a slot in a required class (even if not in their top preferences), it may sometimes take some time for us to react to the development in demand and adjust our classes accordingly. Traditionally, every student has been offered a slot in a required class - but we do hope it is obvious that we simply cannot accommodate individual timetables.
