As of SS2010, Wiko 1 (Diplomstudien) will no longer be offered as a course. The exam itself will be held as long as required.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION: We will CONTINUE to offer Wiko 3 also in future semesters. Please ignore any rumors that may suggest differently.
Registration for Spezialgebiete classes is possible via LPIS only - lecturers cannot and will not register anybody not on the list. Please remember that registration for a course is required to be able to register for the exam.
If you pass Wiko 4 no later than at the second exam in March 2010, you will get a slot (if you so require) in a seminar and a Spezialgebiete 2 course in SS2010. HOWEVER, we cannot preregister you, nor can we guarantee a slot in any particular class.

Spezialgebiete I/II : Exam dates for Sept./Oct. 2010 SONDERTERMINE September 2010 / Prof. ALEXANDER |
WS2010/2011 - We are offering a seminar that will be completed by the end of the summer break; if you are interested in finance & terminology and will be available to do research throughout the summer, this seminar is for you. Registration will be effected in person at the secretaries' office (UZA4, A513) and will run from Monday, May 17, to Monday, June 21 (or until we have reached full capacity). NOTE: registration for the seminar is BINDING; this means that - should you need to drop out - you will not be able to register for another seminar until SS2011.
|
English seminars: Details can be found here. |
NOTE: Registration for any and all of our classes is done exclusively via LPIS - lecturers cannot and will not accept any requests for registration outside the system; please also read the statement below. Also, for any of our courses: If you have registered for a course, but will not need the slot, after all, please deregister to make it available to other students.
If
you have registered for EBC3 or EBC4 and have NOT passed EBC2 (and are
not taking the exceptional EBC2 test during exam week), please
deregister again to make slots available for those who fulfill the
requirements.
Please note: In order to register for an EBC 2 course, you must have passed EBC 1 at the end of the preceding semester at the latest.
As
long as there are slots available in any of our EBC3 courses, we cannot
add more slots to existing courses, as we have already reached numbers
that are barely acceptable for reasonable teaching and learning
efforts. Also, once we have all results from EBC2, those students who
are registered for EBC3 but have not passed EBC2 will be deregistered (see below), which will result in those slots becoming available again.
As
always, all students who fulfill the criteria will get a slot in ONE of
the EBC3 courses, but there cannot be a guarantee for a PARTICULAR
course.
Please remember that having passed EBC 1 and EBC 2 is a
prerequisite for this course, which will be checked at the beginning of
the semester; registrations without the necessary requirements will
have to be deleted. Also, bear in mind that you can take EBC 3 and EBC
4 in the same semester, even though we do recommend you take them in
order.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION: You MUST register for the EBC 4 course to be able to take the exam at the end of the semester in which you register. Please see general info on EBC 4 below. (Thus, if you do not register in WS09, the earliest you can take the exam is June 2010, following the next summer semester.)
Additional slots will be added when and if all available slots have been filled; please remember these are oral exams, which is why there has to be an upper limit to the number of students allowed into each course.
Please remember that having passed EBC 1 and EBC 2 is a prerequisite for this course, which will be checked at the beginning of the semester; registrations without the necessary requirements will have to be deleted. Also, bear in mind that you can take EBC 3 and EBC 4 in the same semester, even though we do recommend you take them in order.
