The exchange of knowledge and experiences related to CEE-business and management between the academic world and the business community is a great concern of our Competence Center.

Here you find a selection of scientific conferences that are addressing business and management issues in CEE.

The GROW EAST CONGRESS was initiated in 2007 by Manfred Berger, Draftfcb Partners Wien, and Arnold Schuh, Competence Center for CEE, WU Vienna. The main goal of this congress series is to provide insights into the current developments in the emerging Europe and to highlight the challenges that international and CEE companies face when expanding into these markets. GROW EAST offers a platform for the exchange of ideas and experiences between representatives of companies operating in CEE, academics and business students with a strong interest in the emerging markets of this region. The 3rd Grow East Congress was held on “Restarting Growth in Central and South-Eastern Europe” in 2010.
